Autumn has begun in fine style for Grassington House this month, as the Yorkshire ‘restaurant with rooms’ announces that it has maintained its double Rosette Award for culinary excellence, and celebrates owner and chef John Rudden’s twentieth consecutive year with two Rosettes.
The long-established AA Rosette scheme is widely acclaimed for its aspirational awards, which recognise successful cooking at different levels across the UK. Holding two rosettes is awarded to ‘excellent restaurants that aim for and achieve highest standards and better consistency.’
“This is a great achievement, we are delighted and very proud.” Says Chef and owner John Rudden. “We have worked hard this year to provide an interesting calendar of events, and a changing and exciting menu that offers good quality food, available at reasonable prices. It’s a particular achievement for me and it definitely makes us feel the hard work is worth it.”
The AA Rosette award comes on the back of receiving a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor earlier in the summer, and becoming a finalist in the White Rose Awards in the Small Hotel category. The Welcome to Yorkshire award winners will be notified on 21st November.
