We are now in full festive flow at Grassington House, and whilst the (secret recipe) mulled wine is flowing and the Christmas lights are twinkling, we always take a moment to be thankful.
Here are some of our Christmas highlights:
We have been spending time with residents from the home for a number of years now, and it always gives us such joy to welcome them here to Grassington House, and treat them to John’s mince pies and a mulled wine. John has even played Santa on a number of occasions. As I no longer have my mum around, it feels good to be giving back to these lovely people.
This is a new one that John came up with this year, and it has been extremely popular. With hand cured meats and homemade relishes, local cheeses and more…It was created as an alternative to traditional afternoon tea, but we were asked to do that also. Visitors have a complete festive choice.
I absolutely love getting the Christmas decorations up, and we are possibly one of the most festive houses around. We have ten trees looking glorious, including a festive statue pig just outside the house.
It doesn’t really take much to make us happy…our new puppy, Dolly, in a festive jumper!
